Job Summary

5ithz is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong CAD skills and a passion for solving complex design challenges. You’ll work closely with our product, electrical, and manufacturing teams to design and refine mechanical components for high-performance electronics and tech products.

Key Responsibilities

‍

• Design, prototype, and validate mechanical components and systems

• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks or similar software

• Collaborate cross-functionally with industrial design, electrical, and firmware teams

• Conduct thermal, stress, and tolerance analysis to ensure reliability and performance

• Support the transition from prototype to manufacturing, including DFM and tooling reviews

• Select materials and manufacturing processes based on performance and cost

• Iterate designs based on testing and user feedback

Qualifications

‍

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred

• 3+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in consumer electronics

• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, etc.)

• Knowledge of manufacturing methods including injection molding, CNC, sheet metal

• Experience with rapid prototyping and iterative design processes

• Strong understanding of mechanical testing, analysis, and materials science

• Familiarity with thermal and structural simulation tools is a plus
